Public Hearing
LEE COUNTY MOSQUITO CONTROL DISTRICT held an advertised public hearing to adopt a final millage rate and a final budget on September 11, 2014 at District headquarters, 15191 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres, Florida 33971 in accordance with the provisions of Florida Statute, Chapter 200.065.
Florida Statute, Chapter 200.065(2) (a) 4c requires the governing body of each taxing authority to hold a public hearing on the Final budget and proposed millage rate.
The rolled back rate for Lee County Mosquito Control District is 0.2397 mills. The millage rate to be levied is .2397 mills. The percentage increase over the rolled back rate is 0.00%. A resolution for adoption of a final millage rate of 0.2397 mills for fiscal year 2014-2015, commencing on October 1, 2014 and ending on September 30, 2015 was approved by the Lee County Mosquito Control District Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners adopted the final Budget for the 2014-2015 fiscal year in the amount of $23,495,702, commencing on October 1, 2014 and ending on September 30, 2015.
The LCMCD Board of Commissioners approved a millage rate of 0.2397 mills, which is the rollback rate. This is $.2937 per $1000 of value. A homeowner would pay $23.97 for a home valued at $100,000 by the property appraiser. For the adopted budget, click on 2014-15 Annual Certified Budget.
